Lynn Bilal

Lynn Bilal, a graduate of Youngstown State University, comes to the City Club of Cleveland with 25 years of direct service, advocacy, project development, and management experience. Since 1990, she has dedicated her services to the anti-violence movement in various capacities; most recently, she served as Prevention Coordinator for the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence providing training and technical assistance to prevention and rape crisis programs in Ohio.

Catalina joined the City Club in 2001 has spent many years running our student programming. As Finance and Executive Assistant, she is responsible for making sure that all of the City Club's internal operations run smoothly and efficiently. Catalina is also a proud Gold Star Mother.

Noelle-Celeste

Noelle Celeste

Director of Advancement

Noelle joined the City Club team as Director of Advancement in 2016. Previously she was principal of her own consulting firm working with non-profits that included The Cleveland Foundation, the Cleveland International Film Festival, Civic Commons, and the City Club, to name a few. She also served as Corporate Relations Director at ideastream; Director of Marketing & Community Relations at MOCA; and campaign manager for two successful countywide campaigns. In 2011, she launched Edible Cleveland, an award-winning quarterly magazine covering the people and stories of Northeast Ohio’s local food scene, for which she continues to serve as publisher. Noelle has a B.A in American Studies with a concentration in Media and the Arts from Yale University. She lives in Cleveland Heights with her husband and two kids.

Adam joined The City Club catering team in May of 2012. With degrees in both culinary arts and food service management from Johnson & Wales University, Adam brings flair to the table. His enjoyment of multiple food styles—his favorite is fusion cuisine—provides great variety to The City Club’s offerings. Adam aspires to be a professional food writer and photographer.

Bliss Davis

Content Coordinator

Bliss joined the City Club team as Content Coordinator in 2017. She is a Cleveland native and holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree from Bowling Green State University, as well as a Master's in Public Relations from Kent State University. Previously, Bliss has been a news producer at FOX 8 News and has been part of the news teams of various outlets and publications throughout Ohio. She is also an avid track cyclist and serves as a youth coach and the Director of Outreach at the Cleveland Velodrome.

Maria has been with the City Club in various capacities since June 2008 when she started as an Operations Assistant. Now, as Manager of the Content & Experience team, she ensures quality production and distribution of all City Club content through multiple media outlets. She also works closely with the catering team to enhance overall guest experience at all City Club events. Maria is a graduate of Bowling Green State University’s School of Media and Communication and holds a Master of Education degree from Kent State University. She and her husband live in Lakewood.

Cory Isler

Membership and Customer Experience Manager

Cory joined the City Club team in 2017 and is responsible for membership communications, event reservations, and ensuring that all guests have a fantastic experience at the City Club. Previously, Cory was the Associate Director of Education and Nonprofit Engagement at BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence. He holds a BA in Music with a focus in Arts Management and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. Cory serves as membership chair of the Cleveland Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. Cory also remains active as musician throughout the Northeast Ohio community and is currently the baritone soloist/section leader at Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights.

Director of Programming

Stephanie joined the City Club as the Director of Programming in July 2014. Prior to joining the City Club, Stephanie spent 12 years working in public relations and development for healthcare-related nonprofit organizations including Cleveland Clinic, MedWish International, the American Liver Foundation - Ohio Chapter, and Lifebanc, Northeast Ohio's organ and tissue recovery agency. She also serves as a part-time faculty member at the School of Communication at Cleveland State University and in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kent State University. Her favorite forum was an address by Atlantic correspondent Ta-Nehisi Coates who explained the role of national institutionally-driven housing and lending policies that stood in the way of wealth creation for black families.

Julie joined The City Club in 2012 and is responsible for the financial operations of the City Club and the City Club Forum Foundation. Dan was appointed to the City Club's helm in 2013, after many years as a member, volunteer and frequent forum moderator. Prior to joining the City Club he was co-founder of The Civic Commons, a pioneer in the field of social media for civic good. Dan is also the former host of 90.3 WCPN's Sound of Ideas and co-author, with Dave Eggers and Ninive Calegari, of the best selling book Teachers Have it Easy: The Big Sacrifices and Small Salaries of America's Teachers (The New Press, 2005), which provided the basis for the 2011 documentary American Teacher. He's an award winning journalist, a former high school teacher and a graduate of UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in Shaker Heights with his wife and three children. His favorite forum changes almost monthly.

Julia Wang

Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

Julia joined the City Club team as Marketing and Outreach Coordinator in August of 2017 as a Venture for America Fellow. She graduated from the University of Michigan where she studied environmental studies and business. A Toronto native, she grew up in Farmington Hills, MI. Over the past few years, she's worked in state parks, research labs, non-profits, and as a yoga instructor. Julia enjoys good radio, sunshine, and big bowls of pasta. She's excited to join The City Club of Cleveland and call another Midwest city her home.
