The City Club 2019 Annual Report

Dan Moulthrop, Chief Executive Officer, The City Club of Cleveland

The City Club 2019 Annual Report

For 107 years, we’ve been the City’s Club—the social club with a civic purpose, the place open to everyone—and all of you are part of this practice of coming together in conversation to create a stronger and more resilient community. Over the years, we’ve grown and expanded and, in turn, you’ve grown with us, responding with the various ways you engage with City Club forums and the content that comes from those forums. We’re still here, at noon, several days of the week, 12 months out of the year. But we’re also a radio and television broadcast, a podcast, a livestream. And this year, we looked at different ways you "City Club."

What we mean is—how do you experience City Club forums? Are you a Sunday-morning-on-TV person?A live-on-WCPN-on-Fridays-at-12:30 listener? A devourer of podcasts? Or a need-to-be-in-the-room-where-it-happens person? Do you come to forums solo or always bring a friend? Do you rely on us to help you better understand community issues? To be exposed to new ideas and different points of view? To inform your decisions or engage in history in the making?

However you City Club, thank you. Thank you for showing up, tuning in, downloading, sharing, tweeting, sponsoring, and becoming a part of the conversation. It is because of you that the City Club is growing to be a more representative and challenging place where our community can thrive.

We are grateful for your ongoing commitment to civic, civil dialogue and hope you will join us often in our 108th year.
