FAQs for City Club's Programming Change

FAQs for City Club's Programming Change

Why can’t I find the City Club forum on 90.3?

Our primary media partner, Ideastream Public Media is moving all their news and information programming from WCPN 90.3 FM to WKSU 89.7 FM. So starting Friday, April 1 you will find our live broadcast on 89.7 FM from 12 noon to 1 p.m. With this move, all their programs will reach a larger audience across all of Northeast Ohio, not just Greater Cleveland. The City Club forum is moving along with them.

Why is the forum start time changing?

Noon makes a lot more sense as a start time than 12:30. With the changes happening at Ideastream Public Media this was a good time to reset the start time, so we can better serve the whole community. City Club forums have been broadcast live in Greater Cleveland for 96 years and we believe the tradition of free public access to our forums is important to continue.

Is the forum start time changing in-person too?

Yes, beginning in April if you are attending a forum in-person, doors will open at 11:15am and lunch will be served before the forum starts promptly at 12 noon.

Will the free livestream still be available?

Yes, the livestream will still be available for free on our website at cityclub.org.

Can I still ask a question if I’m not in-person?

Yes, we will still welcome questions from those joining us via our livestream or the radio broadcast. Questions can be tweeted @thecityclub or you sent via text to 330-541-5794.

Will I still get to eat lunch?

Yes, Chef Adam Crawford and his team will continue to offer delicious lunch options. We ask that you arrive early to be sure you can be seated and served before the forum begins at 12 noon.

Will I still be able to park next door for just $3?

Yes, we will still offer parking validation for all our guests that allows you to park next door between 11am and 2:30pm for just $3.

How can I connect to all of my favorite Ideastream programming?

In addition to tuning in at 89.7 FM or 104.9 FM for news & information or 90.3 FM for classical music, you can:

  • Go to ideastream.org to stream from a computer or mobile phone.
  • Download the free Ideastream Public Media mobile app (available March 28)
  • Access WKSU programming at 25.7 on TVs that receive the WVIZ signal over the air.
  • Find WKSU on 89.7 HD1 and 90.3 HD2
  • Find WKSU news and information on smart TVs via the TuneIn app.
  • Tell Alexa, Siri or your preferred smart speaker to “Play WKSU”

I have other questions. Where can I get answers?

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly by calling 216-621-0082 or emailing info@cityclub.org and we’ll be happy to get you the answers you need.
