The City Club Announces 2022 Free Series in Public Square
If you’re a City Club member, frequent guest, or just a follower of our social media accounts, you’ll hear us speak often of #HaveGongWillTravel. We’ve learned that the City Club is a spirit, not a space, and we have discovered many City Club “homes” outside of our building at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and East 9th Street.
One of our favorite homes is in Public Square. Since 2016, we’ve been presenting a free series of forums that addresses issues facing Cleveland and its neighborhoods.
This year, we will spend four Tuesdays in the months of June and July speaking with our region’s new and emerging leaders:
June 21: Up Next in State Policy Advocacy featuring Hannah Halbert, Executive Director, Policy Matters Ohio, moderated by Andy Chow of the Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau
June 28: A Fresh Perspective on City Planning featuring Joyce Pan Huang, Director of City Planning, The City of Cleveland, moderated by Shanelle L. Smith Whigham of KeyBank
July 12: Cleveland’s Next Era in Philanthropy featuring Tony Richardson, President, The George Gund Foundation, moderated by Evelyn Burnette of ThirdSpace Action Lab
July 19: New Voices in Nonprofit Journalism featuring Jim Crutchfield, Editor in Chief, Cleveland, The Marshall Project, and Lila Mills, Editor in Chief, Ohio Local News Initiative; moderated by Rick Jackson of Ideastream Public Media
Special thanks to this year’s City Club in Public Square sponsors, RPM and Thompson Hine, for their generous support of this free series.
This series is also part of City Club in the Community sponsored by Bank of America.
