Exciting Hope and and Stanley Adelstein Free Speech Essay Contest Update!
We are excited to announce a TWO WEEK extension to the 2024 Hope and Stanley Adelstein Free Speech Essay Contest. This decision aims to provide all participating students with additional time to articulate their unique perspectives on the 2024 essay prompt. Given the upcoming long weekend—this is an excellent opportunity for students to channel their creativity and dive into the exploration of free speech.
2024 Essay Contest Prompt:
In an era of advancing artificial intelligence and digital communication, we have transformed the way we share information. These new technological advancements, especially AI, present complex challenges for freedom of speech.
Discuss the potential impacts of AI and how society can uphold the principles of the First Amendment while navigating this changing technological terrain.
