The City Club is excited to announce five new additions to our board. Together, they will help strengthen the City Club’s values and expand our reach within the community.

With that, our five new board members are:

A respected litigator and intellectual property attorney, Steve also plays a major role in Cleveland’s civic life, serving on boards across the region and contributing to public and private partnerships that promote innovation and growth.

Amanda Mertens Campbell, who serves as vice president of External Affairs and Corporate Responsibility, and president of the FirstEnergy Foundation. With a career that has roles in energy policy, corporate strategy, and regulatory affairs, Amanda brings a deep understanding of public-private partnerships and the importance of civic dialogue.

Kevin Johnson brings deep experience in engineering, technology and philanthropy. As Managing Partner of NexGen Interactive, president of Glenwood Management, and director of Visiting Angels Cleveland, he brings a unique perspective to the board. He recently spoke at a City Club forum with his wife, Connie Hill-Johnson, about their work in philanthropy.

Ansir Junaid is the founder, chairman, and CEO of The Junaid Group. He is a global entrepreneur with expertise in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain transformation, Ansir also brings a strong commitment to philanthropic causes, especially those that support health, education, and economic empowerment locally and globally.

Renee Willis, PhD, is the executive director of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, and has dedicated her career to improving educational outcomes across Ohio. She brings with her experiences that range from schools, superintendents' offices, and philanthropy. Willis spoke at a City Club forum in 2020 about equity for all Ohio students.

We are so honored to welcome these exceptional leaders to our board. Their dedication and leadership within the community will help shape the future of the City Club and its mission.
