Helping Cleveland Teens “Find Their Thing” and Build Community Offline
Finding your people isn’t always easy, especially as a teenager.
Between school, busy schedules, social media, and the everyday pressures young people navigate, opportunities to build genuine connections outside of the classroom can sometimes be difficult to find. The Find Your Thing Fair hopes to change that by bringing Cleveland-area teens and local organizations together for an afternoon centered on connection, exploration, and belonging.
The City Club of Cleveland's Youth Forum Council is pleased to support the Find Your Thing Fair, taking place Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Public Library’s downtown location.
Designed for young people ages 13 to 18, the free event will introduce teens to clubs, programs, activities, and organizations from throughout the Cleveland community. Students will have opportunities to explore interests ranging from the arts and sports to technology, volunteering, community leadership, and more.
And students don’t have to arrive already knowing what they’re interested in.
The fair is intentionally designed to be welcoming and low-pressure. Teens can move throughout the space at their own pace, participate in hands-on activities, enjoy snacks, meet representatives from local organizations, and learn about opportunities they may not have encountered before.
At its heart, the event is about helping young people answer a simple but important question: Where do I belong?
For teens who already have a passion, the fair may introduce them to a new community where they can pursue it. For those still figuring out what interests them, it offers a chance to explore. And for young people simply looking for something meaningful to do outside of school, it provides an opportunity to connect with others face-to-face.

Educators are also encouraged to spread the word with their students. As an added thank-you, the educator who has the most students attend the fair will receive a $50 gift card.
