A Panel Discussion

Events in Charlottesville, Virginia, have firmly put the existence of white nationalist organizations on the nation's radars. While many have been tracking those organizations and the hate speech they promulgate for years, the newly emboldened white supremacists have become much more visible in recent months.

Join us for a panel conversation as we try to understand the nature of the threat these organizations present, how communities and individuals can respond to racial hatred and hate speech, and how democracy and our communities can remain resilient.

Panelists include:

Rian Brown, Co-Founder, Black Lives Matter Cleveland & Black Lives Matter Kalamazoo

Anita Gray, Regional Director, Anti-Defamation League

Erica Merritt, Principal, Equius Group, LLC

Rabbi Scott B. Roland, Congregation Shaarey Tikvah

Matthew T. Wirks, Domestic Terrorism Supervisor, FBI

This conversation will be moderated by City Club CEO Dan Moulthrop.

Location: The Happy Dog, 5801 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, 44102
