Current economic models put 45 percent of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP) at risk due to water quality and quantity challenges by 2050. In a world of population growth and changing climate, access to safe and clean water will significantly drive economic development for decades. In Northeast Ohio, water is a key component of our regional economic competitiveness and we must maintain our commitment to water quality improvements.
