A diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia is among the most worrisome challenges of aging. Those who struggle with these diseases often become a shadow of their former selves. In worst case scenarios, the transformation results in violent tendencies in loved ones that often weren't present before.
As part of our series on Aging in Northeast Ohio, we present a special afternoon panel conversation at one of our region's leading institutions in elder care. Family members and physicians will discuss the journey of caring for those battling different forms of dementia.
Peter A. DeGolia, M.D., Medical Director, McGregor Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
The Very Rev. Tracey Lind, Dean, Trinity Cathedral
Elizabeth O'Toole, M.D., Director, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care, The MetroHealth System
This conversation will be moderated by ideastream® health reporter/producer Marlene Harris-Taylor.
Location: McGregor Community Ballroom, 14900 Private Drive, Cleveland, OH 44112
Tickets: $20 members/$35 nonmembers
