In his first public appearance, Dr. Frederick D. Holliday, the newly appointed Superintendent of Cleveland Public Schools, discusses his educational philosophy, professional goals, and personal expectations.
Dr. Holliday was the first African-American superintendent of Cleveland schools and is credited with improving safety, attendance and graduation rates, and the installment of modern technology in every school. He died in 1985.
