W. Paul Tippett, Chairman and CEO of American Motors Corporation, discusses opportunities and threats arising from transitions in the automotive industry.
Tippett joined American Motors in 1978 as President and Chief Operating Officer and was named President and CEO in January, 1982. American Motors is 46 percent owned by Renault of France.
A native of Cincinnati, Tippett graduated from Wabash College and served four years in the Navy as an intelligence officer.
