Jan Nowak, author and broadcaster who is internationally known for his reporting on Poland's struggle for freedom and the Soviet threat to the West, reflects on the future of Poland.
Nowak is a consultant to the U.S. National Security Council and a National Director of the Polish-American Congress with special responsibilites for liaison work with Solidarity in Poland.
His latest book, Courier from Warsaw, was recently reviewed in The New York Times Book Review, has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and has been selected by the Book-of-the-Month Club for future publication. Reports from Poland say the book is being used today as a strategy manual by the Solidarity resistance movement.
