Peter Baker discusses his new book, Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House, and his time covering the White House for various publications during the Clinton, W. Bush, and Obama presidencies.
Baker says Vice President Cheney got much of his power from subordinating himself to President Bush and not having presidential ambitions himself, therefore, not caring about approval ratings. Baker also talks about Cheney's mastery of Washington politics and his ability to properly position himself and others to accomplish what he wanted.
