"There's not a death penalty system in the U.S. that doesn't have a race problem." – Tim Young

Featuring Tim Young, Director, Office of the Ohio Public Defender; Nathaniel Jones, Retired Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; Terry Collins, Retired Director, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Moderated by City Club CEO Dan Moulthrop. Our expert panel discusses the current state and the future of the death penalty in Ohio. Tim Young says Ohio's death penalty system has a major value of life issue, valuing white lives more than black. The panelists also express major concern over the data produced from studies of Ohio's capital punishment, saying that statistically, the state has executed innocent people.
