"For 100 years, our goal was to bring the American people to the parks. Now we are bringing the parks to the people." – Jonathan Jarvis

Jonathan Jarvis discusses the importance of the U.S. National Parks and how they tie in with American values. He talked about how the parks represent the pioneering spirit of Americans and their desire to explore the unknown. Jarvis also said his organization has lost touch with the current generation of U.S. parents, and that the National Park Service plans to reconnect with the American public before the organization's upcoming centennial.
