"True freedom is intimidating -- it means you are in competition with everyone." – Ta-Nehisi Coates

In his article for The Atlantic, Ta-Nehisi Coates argues that government reparations should be made to black communities to make up for social, economic and political injustices that have built up over the years. He argues that, even after slavery and segregation have ended, the conditions which persisted over the decades leave many on unequal footing. Join Coates at the City Club as he addresses this important and relevant issue.
