"I think Cleveland is unique in that all audience questions indeed come from the audience. No questions are filtered through a chairman, and that makes us unusual" – Stanley Adelstein

One of our heroes passed away December 20th. Stanley Adelstein had been a member of the City Club since 1941, when he joined fresh out of college. Over more than seven decades he played so many roles in the City Club and throughout Greater Cleveland. He was a board member and a president of the Forum Foundation, a prodigious fundraiser, a champion of engagement by all sides, a delightful conversationalist, a gentle soul, and, with his wife, Hope, a generous philanthropist. Many of us know him for the questions he would ask--and he would ask one at just about every forum he attended, regardless of the size of the audience or the prestige of the speaker.

The City Club has been asked by the family to host a memorial service for Stanley. We hope you can join us Friday, January 9th at 4pm. A reception will follow.
