"This is going to be Cleveland's platform to change its reputation internationally." – Kris Pickel

The announcement of the Republican National Convention's arrival in Cleveland has accelerated the construction of massive developments such as the Public Square renovation and the North Coast Harbor Pedestrian Bridge. While these and other projects are slated for completion by 2016, their impacts will be felt for years to come. How do we leverage the RNC and these projects for sustainable Downtown growth beyond 2016? Why is Downtown development important for the entire city and region? What development lessons can our Downtown learn from others that have hosted political conventions?

Panelists include:

Joseph A. Marinucci, President & CEO, Downtown Cleveland Alliance

R.T. Rybak, Former Mayor of Minneapolis

Michael Smith, President & CEO, Charlotte Center City Partners

This discussion will be moderated by WKYC News Anchor Kris Pickel.
