"It's a question of accessibility. We want everyone to experience the arts." – Deena Epstein

Leading up to the November 3, 2015 general election, The City Club of Cleveland will be featuring conversations on Ohio ballot measures.

Approved by voters in 2006, the cigarette tax has provided $125 million for more than 300 arts organizations countywide, making Cuyahoga County a national leader in local public funding of the arts. The original levy expires in January 2017. Cuyahoga County residents can decide whether to renew the 10-year, 30-cents-a-pack tax on cigarettes for a second decade which is expected to generate $100 million for the arts between 2016 and 2026.

Join us for a conversation with Fred Bidwell, owner of Bidwell Projects, and Deena Epstein, former Senior Program Officer for the Arts at The George Gund Foundation, on Issue 8 moderated by WKYC's Russ Mitchell.
