Leading up to the March 15, 2016 Ohio primary election, The City Club of Cleveland will be featuring debates with candidates seeking their party's nomination for various state and local offices.
The State of Ohio, through the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 309, empowers the county prosecuting attorney with the duty and obligation to:"Inquire into the commission of crimes within the county. The prosecuting attorney shall prosecute, on behalf of the state, all complains, suits, and controversies in which the state is a party,...and other suits, matters, and controversies that the prosecuting attorney is required to prosecute within or outside the county, in the probate court, court of common pleas, and court of appeals. In conjunction with the attorney general, the prosecuting attorney shall prosecute in the supreme court cases arising in the prosecuting attorney's county."
Join us as incumbent Timothy J. McGinty and his challenger, current Safety Director for the City of Parma, Michael C. O'Malley, explain their platforms and differences during a debate moderated by Tucker Ellis attorney Brandon D. Cox.
