"This is not just service for service sake, it's service that makes a difference in communities." – Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, L.H.D.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first Greek-letter organization established by African-American college women, was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. Since that time, membership has grown to more than 283,000 women who commit themselves to a lifetime of community service, scholarship, and sisterhood.

No where is this leadership more apparent than in Cleveland. The Alpha Omega Chapter, the first graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, was established on the campus of Western Reserve University (now Case Western Reserve University) in 1917. Today, Cleveland is home of thousands of AKA women who protest injustice, end discrimination, and promote equal opportunity for African-Americans.

Join us as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated's International President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, L.H.D. talks with Margot James Copeland, Chair and CEO of the KeyBank Foundation, on the importance of philanthropy and service to your community.
