"The issue that drives everything in the 2018 election? 'Normally, I would say the economy. This year, it’s President Trump.'" – Karen Kasler

In the wake of President Trump's first year in office, 2018 is already bringing Ohio a dynamic election cycle. Betty Sutton's announcement that she will join the gubernatorial campaign of former Ohio Attorney General Rich Cordray is a reminder of the volatility of the political landscape. As the field of candidates of both parties widen and contract, we'll take a look at the forces and people shaping the coming year in politics. Will the populism that brought Trump to office continue, or will it create a backlash, bringing Democrats into new posts? And will national forces and trends be felt here in Ohio? Join us for a conversation with political journalists and analysts to examine the regional, statewide and national politics.
