This forum will discuss how COVID-19 is creating distinct challenges for Northeast Ohio's newcomers, including both those who are essential workers and those put out of work by the pandemic, as well as their children, many of whom are struggling to access online learning. These issues run headlong into political flashpoints like restrictions on government assistance, healthcare for the undocumented, and the federal government's unprecedented limits on refugee and asylum-seeker admission.
