The 2026 midterms are quickly approaching. While the election brings the usual statewide contests, two Ohio Supreme Court seats are on the ballot, and a tight gubernatorial and U.S. Senate race has grabbed the attention of Ohio voters. The pressure is on for both the Ohio Democratic Party and Ohio Republican Party to meet the moment. In 2022, the City Club hosted the leadership of both parties. Now, this next era of leadership will sit down to discuss their vision for the road ahead, and what's at stake for Ohioans, and the nation this November.
Kathleen Clyde, Chairwoman of the Ohio Democratic Party, brings deep familiarity with both state and national politics to the role. She previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives and as Portage County Commissioner from 2018 to 2020. Before being elected Chairwoman, Clyde was Senior Director of the RISE Together Innovation Institute, a nonprofit focused on advancing racial and economic justice.
Alex Triantafilou, Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party, brings his own experience navigating both the courtroom and the campaign trail. A former Hamilton County judge, he was elected as the youngest judge in the county's history and served until 2008. He later became the chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party in Cincinnati before taking his experience to the state party.
Join us to hear about the future of Ohio party politics in a conversation between Chairwoman Kathleen Clyde and Chairman Alex Triantafilou.
