Tangle: One Solution for Bridging the Partisan Divide

No media entity has targeted the partisan divide quite as directly as Tangle. A daily newsletter taking on just one topic each day, Tangle offers analysis of what each side is saying and then transparently offers a thoughtful and considered take. If “hot take” has an opposite, it is Tangle.

Isaac Saul founded Tangle in 2019. He was equally disenchanted with both the ineffectiveness of traditional media and the unvarnished bias of television and new media initiatives. He sought to provide a platform for unapologetically sharing diverse viewpoints, with neither fear nor favor. After being featured on public radio's "This American Life," Tangle saw its subscription base spike and went from scrappy newsletter startup to a full-fledged media enterprise.

Today, Tangle has 500,000 subscribers and continues to grow its subscriber base and its offerings. And each subscriber is one more neighbor committed to learning what the other side has to say and why.
