The City Club of Cleveland is pleased to host the 2023 State of the City. This free public event is presented in partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District and will be held at East Tech High School in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood.
In his second address, Mayor Justin M. Bibb will discuss foundational work and progress made during his first year in office and look to the year ahead with a focus on public safety, modernizing city government, economic development, and breaking down barriers to progress for the city and its people.
In addition to his remarks, the Mayor will also answer questions from Cleveland residents. All who are interested are invited to submit questions ahead of time through the City Club by clicking here.

FAQs 2023 STATE OF THE CITY
What time do doors open?
Doors open at 6pm.
The program begins at 7pm.
We recommend taking your seat by 6:45pm.
Do I need tickets?
The 2023 State of the City is a free event, open to the public. However, tickets must be reserved to attend. Your digital ticket(s) will be included as a PDF in your confirmation email.
How many tickets can I reserve?
The limit is two (2) tickets per email address for State of the City.
How do I submit a question for the Mayor?
You can submit a question for the mayor through this link.
How will I know my question is selected?
If your question is selected, City Club staff will be in touch via email.
Are there services available for hearing-impaired and special seating for physically disabled?
There will be an ASL interpreter and designated seating near the interpreter. There is also wheelchair accessibility and seating for those using wheelchairs.
How can I sign up for a free RTA pass?
To request a transit pass, select "edit attendees" before checkout. Include your request for each attendee that requires a transit pass. City Club staff will be notified to contact you.

All pass requests need to be received no later than Monday, April 3rd to make sure there is time to mail them out. Paratransit passes will be included. Please be sure to note if you need a paratransit pass.
Is there parking at the event?
Free parking is available onsite at the East Tech High School and free public transportation via RTA is available too.

Can I purchase a table or be a sponsor?
Tables are not available for this event. All tickets are free and seating is theater-style. There are sponsorships available. For more information contact Noelle Celeste at the City Club at nceleste@cityclub.org.
Will there be food?
There will not be food at this event. The audience will be seated theater-style.
Will the livestream be available?
The 2023 State of the City will be available on the City Club website live during the forum and available as video or audio for free after the forum.
