About City Club of the Mahoning Valley

City Club of the Mahoning Valley (CCMV) will create and present a regular series of public forums designed to help citizens and stakeholders in the Youngstown-Warren region talk about the issues and challenges our communities face and the solutions that can be brought to bear. A project of The City Club of Cleveland, it will be advised by Mahoning Valley residents serving on a steering committee who will provide guidance and assistance on programs, topics, and speakers.

Job Description

The CCMV Project Director will be responsible for the operational success of the City Club of the Mahoning Valley ensuring seamless program development and execution. The CCMV Project Director reports to The City Club of Cleveland Director of Programming and works with both the City Club of Cleveland leadership team and the CCMV steering committee. The CCMV Project Director will produce multiple lines of forum programs, build community partnerships, develop individual membership and corporate sponsorship, manage volunteers, and shape the overall vision of CCMV programming, ensuring its local and regional significance.

This is a full-time position in the Mahoning Valley with regular travel to Cleveland.

The CCMV Project Director manages all aspects of the local City Club of the Mahoning Valley project.

Responsibilities include

  • Working with the local steering committee to develop relevant programs, create effective marketing strategies, and other business as needed
     
  • Collaborating with local media partners to market, capture and distribute forums and digital content
     
  • Planning and executing all events, including recruitment of speakers and moderators, vendor relationships, venue selection, and outreach and marketing
     
  • Cultivating relationships with key community partners, including community organizations, corporate leadership, philanthropic leadership and media
     
  • Working with the City Club content team to manage CCMV digital footprint, including web content and social media
     
  • Working collaboratively with City Club leadership to develop operational plans for event and content integration, collaborative fundraising and membership relations, and to sustain the quality of the City Club brand through excellent programming and community engagement

  • Keen insight into Mahoning Valley and issues affecting the community
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate efforts with a high-functioning team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills    
  • Ability to inspire and lead others, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new skills, solve problems, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience. The City Club of Cleveland provides health insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan.
